Tim Brown will share highlights from his recent attendance of the 24th World Orchid Conference in Dresden, Germany. Attendees will enjoy a vibrant visual tour of the Dresden, Germany, the sales area, innovative exhibition displays, champion orchids, displays, and top-tier judging results from this prestigious global event. This presentation is an opportunity for society members to experience the “Orchid Olympics” and gain inspiration for their own collections. Tim is an associate AOS judging student attached to the Dallas Judging Center. While he started out growing several different orchid genera, over the past 25 years he has focused on raising Phalaenopsis.
Orchids 101 will be in the greenhouse at 2pm, and will be led by Katherine. She’ll be answering questions about repotting, as a follow-up to the previous day’s repotting session at her home.
